When the courses are ready to be printed, follow the sequence below to export from Condes.

Map files (pdf)

  1. Export > Export maps and courses as PDF... and a pop-up window will open.
  2. Select all courses you wish to print, along with the All Controls option (for putting out and collecting controls) by ticking the appropriate boxes.
  3. Check the Export scale, Page size and Orientation are correct. Do not alter the default margin, spacing and overlap options unless you have tested this sufficiently.
  4. Select Export.
  5. View the PDF file to ensure that there are no layout errors and the entire course is included. You must change the position of the printing area, scale of the map or paper size if there are issues.

Control Descriptions (pdf)

  1. Recommendations for Text vs Symbolic control descriptions:
    1. For OY or similar events. Yellow and White use text descriptions. Orange has text descriptions on the map and both text/symbolic descriptions available for the loose descriptions. All Red courses have symbolic descriptions.
    2. For Summer sprints.
Easy course has text descriptions. Medium & Long have symbolic descriptions.
    3. For MTBO events - no controls descriptions are required. (Control Numbers should be on the map).
  2. Within the main Condes window, double click on the Control Descriptions, then under the “Appearance” tab, adjust the “box width/height mm” to a size of 6mm - this is the optimum size for all age classes. If you do need to adjust to bigger or smaller it is acceptable to use a number between 5mm (small) and 7mm (large).
  3. Click OK and Exit the pop up window
  4. Under the “print” tab, select “loose descriptions and another window will open.
  5. Under a lefthand column a number of options are available. From here you can select a variety of options, like filling the page with control descriptions to make printing more economical etc.
  6. Once you are done, click export or print
